Producers prices in domestic market in Slovakia witnessed a 0.3 percent fall in May on a month-on-month term, a release from Statistics office revealed.
Manufacturing, electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply prices dipped in May by 0.3 percent equally. Similarly, prices of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation fell 0.1 percent. On the other hand, mining and quarrying prices expanded by one percent in May in Slovakia.
Chemical and chemical products price dropped 2.2 percent in the manufacturing sector. Similarly, other manufacture, repair and installation of machinery prices fell 1.6 percent while coke and refined petroleum products price dipped 1.5 percent. Rubber and plastic products price fell 0.7 percent whereas transport equipment price skid 0.4 percent.
The official release added, “Prices increased in manufacture of wood, paper products and printing by 3,3 %, computer, electronic and optical products by 3,2 %, machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 2,4 %, basic metal and fabricated metal products; electrical equipment equally by 0,2 %, textiles, apparel, leather and related products by 0,1 %.”
On a year-over-year term, Slovakia’s output prices expanded 1.9 percent in the domestic market. Mining and quarrying prices grew 4.3 percent while manufacturing advanced 2.7 percent and electricity, gas, steam and air condition supply expanded 0.5 percent. Prices of water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation recorded a downtick of 0.1 percent.
