Expeditors International of Washington Inc. (NASDAQ:EXPD) reported net income for the first quarter of $ 135.69 million or $ 0.76 per share, compared to income of $ 93.26 million or $ 0.51 per share for the year-ago quarter.
The topline results for the first quarter rose 20% to $ 1.85 billion from $ 1.55 billion in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected Expeditors International of Washington Inc. to report income of $ 0.65 per share on revenue of $ 1.72 billion for the first quarter.
