Fuelcell Energy Inc (NASDAQ:FCEL) reported second quarter earnings before the bell today, that missed street view.
On a GAAP basis, FCEL reported net loss of $ 18.17 million or 23 cents per share, compared with loss of $ 14.04 million or 33 cents per share, a year ago period.
Headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut, FCEL recorded total revenue that rose 2% to $ 20.83 million from $ 20.42 million in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected Fuelcell Energy Inc to reveal loss of $ 0.17 per share on revenue of $ 19.02 million for the second quarter.
Chip Bottone, President and CEO, said, We completed delivery and commissioning of the 20 megawatt Korean utility project a full two months before our contractual target date and completed a sale of the now fully operational 2.8 MW Tulare project to NRG Yield. The team developed and submitted multiple bids in Connecticut with decisions expected in the near team.
