Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (NYSE:DO) reported third quarter earnings before the bell today, that beat street view.
On a GAAP basis, DO reported net loss of $ 51.11 million or 37 cents per share, compared with loss of $ 69.27 million or 50 cents per share, a year ago period.
Excluding special items, the company announced adjusted net loss of $ 35.26 million or 26 cents per share.
Headquartered in Houston, DO recorded total revenue that rose 6% to $ 286.32 million from $ 268.86 million in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected Diamond Offshore Drilling to reveal loss of $ 0.36 per share on revenue of $ 280.98 million for the third quarter.
