Czech industrial production jumped 5.3 percent in October on adjusted and year-on-year basis, a release from Czech Statistical office showed. Similarly, on non-adjusted basis, industrial output climbed 10.5 percent in the same period. The key factor is that Czech witnessed a 10.3 percent year-over-year growth in new orders.
However, seasonally adjusted Czech industrial production was lower by 1.5 percent in Czech on a month-on-month basis. On the other hand, working days adjusted industrial output expanded 5.3 percent while it was 10.5 percent on non-adjusted term in the same period.
The release revealed, “The following contributed the most to the y-o-y increase of industrial production: manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (contribution +2.2 p.p., growth by 10.8%), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (contribution +1.7 p.p., growth by 15.4%), and manufacture of electrical equipment (contribution +1.5 p.p., growth by 21.1%).”
