Cigna Corp. (NYSE:CI) reported net income for the second quarter of $ 955.00 million or $ 3.89 per share, compared to income $ 750.00 million or $ 2.91 per share for the year-ago quarter.
The Bloomfield, Connecticut based company recorded operating revenue for second quarter rose 11% to $ 11.50 billion from $ 10.37 billion in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected CI to report income of $ 3.33 per share on revenue of $ 11.15 billion for the second quarter.
