Check Point Software Technologies Ltd (NASDAQ:CHKP) security software and hardware services provider reported net income for the second quarter of $ 197.69 million or $ 1.24 per share, compared to income of $ 188.36 million or $ 1.12 per share for the year-ago quarter.
The company reported second quarter net income of $ 218.18 million or $ 1.37 per share.
The topline results for the second quarter rose 2% to $ 467.77 million from $ 458.57 million in the same quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected Check Point Software Technologies Ltd to report income of $ 1.30 per share on revenue of $ 461.62 million for the second quarter.
We are pleased with our second quarter results and the progress in our initiatives we have achieved to date. Revenues for the quarter were towards the top of our guidance while EPS over the top, said Gil Shwed, Founder and CEO of Check Point Software Technologies.
